The Patiala House trial court here Saturday deferred Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy's plea to make union Home Minister P. Chidambaram a co-accused in the 2G spectrum allotment case till 12.15 p.m.

"The matter has been deferred till 12.15 p.m.," judge O.P. Saini said.

Swamy had filed a plea seeking direction to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the role of Chidambaram in fixing 2G licence prices and grant of spectrum.

In his application, he had said under the 2003 decision of the empowered Group of Ministers (GoM) approved by the cabinet, the pricing formula for spectrum was required to be finalised jointly by the department of telecommunications (DoT) and the finance ministry headed by P. Chidambaram at that time.
