Second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls on Sunday

Srinagar, Nov 22 : The stage is set for the second phase of assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

Six assembly constituencies spread over two districts of Rajouri and Ganderbal will be covered during this phase. A total of 530 polling booths have been set up in both districts.

About 120 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in sensitive areas, whereas army personnel will provide additional security cover.

National Conference chief, Omar Abdullah is among the 81 candidates whose electoral fortunes will be decided in this phase.

The seven-phase assembly polls are expected to draw over 65 lakh voters at 8,000 polling stations in the state.

Over 64 percent vote turned out for the first phase of polling for 10 constituencies on November 17.
