Heroin smuggled in from Iran seized at Johannesburg airport
India's News.Net Saturday 4th July, 2009
South African police have seized a large quantity of heroin which they say was smuggled into the country from Iran.
The discovery was made when packages containing spare parts were found to be destined for a fake address.
When the packages were opened they were found to contain 24kg of heroin, with a street value of 12,000,000 South African Rand ($1.5 million).
Police uncovered the smuggling operation on Friday at OR Tamba International Airport, the busiest airport in the country. The airport services Johannesburg, and was previously known as the Johannesburg International Airport.
Authorities said Saturday they had not encountered heroin smuggling from Iran previously and considered the attempt highly unusual.
Police are investigating the matter and are yet to lay charges. Email this story to a friend

Heroin smuggled in from Iran seized at Johannesburg airport
It`s no surprise because Baluchs of Sistan-va-Baluchistan know very
well that Persian thugs, businessmen are carrying the business of
narcotics under the shadow of Iranian security forces specially under
the command of Iranian Revolutionary Guards. It`s a tactic of
Iranian Mullas to labell “Baluchs” as terrorists and Narcotic Smugglers
to divert the attention of the civilised world from the genuine
demands of Balluchs for their human rights, right of self-determination
and totall independence from the shackels of Iran.
Long Live “Independent State of Baluchistan."

Like all mind-altering drugs and chemicals, these are the unsophisticated weapons of mass destruction of the enemies of free world. With this come AIDS, mental-illnesses, broken lives and families, etc, etc. Mead out floggings, life imprisonment, asset confiscation and death sentence and your problems will dissapear or reduced. See examples of Singapore and China. But you must have not corrupt systems like M & I. Learn and be merciless on this one. A weapon of the Devil.
