Expatriates say income stream better in the Gulf
India's News.Net Wednesday 1st September, 2010
The Gulf region is still one of the most favoured locations for expatriates.
With the region coping well with the world’s financial problems, an HSBC International Explorer survey has revealed that expats believe the best places for their finances are in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Expats in the Gulf told the survey they were there because career and money prospects were better than in most world centres.
They also said they had more disposable income, with Qatar residents boasting they were able to save more than in their country of origin.
The report also showed that expats in the Gulf are the most likely to repatriate their property wealth, with very few investing in houses in their host country.
