DHAKA, Bangladesh - Conflicts between supporters of Eden College's Chhatra League unit president Tamanna Jasmine Riva and a group of rival BCL leaders have injured at least 12 to 15 female students.

When the BCL president and general secretary held a press conference about allegations made by their rival group earlier in the day, the two groups clashed at the college on Sunday evening.

Riva and Razia Sultana, president, and general secretary, are accused of illegal activities such as seat trading, extortion, student torture, and seizing control of hostels and the canteen. They even started extorting money from pedestrians.

Furthermore, 25 leaders out of 44 have declared them unwelcome and threatened to resign if no action is taken against them in response to various allegations.

"We demand that they be removed from their position. We do not want to see them on campus as the union leaders any longer," they insisted.
